Global Warming and Space Ships

Instead of spending so much money on preventing global warming why not use that money on stuff that would help us live in outer space. Now to be completely honest for one second i don't believe in the Global Warming argument i really don't think it will happen. But lets say it was real and we manage to cut back on the green house gasses 99 percent, which is obviously impossible but stay with me hear, we may not burn up now but in 200 years we would still be completely screwed. So why not use this money to build a life outside of this earth. Barring a larger sun then raping us in outer space we would then be fine. Anyone tell me how this is faulty reason, TELL ME i dare you to make a better argument that some how involves giving money to something that will in the end no matter what kill us or our children.
